Mao Qunan pointed out that the implementation of the Healthy China Action has achieved obvious phased results:

First, the health promotion policy system has been basically established. The State Council has established the Healthy China Action Promotion Committee, we have formed a multi-departmental coordinated promotion work mechanism, education, sports and other departments actively participate in and take the initiative, we establish and improve the conference scheduling, work supervision, monitoring and assessment, local pilots, typical case cultivation and promotion and other mechanisms, to achieve provincial, municipal and county linkage promotion.

Second, health risk factors are effectively controlled. Establish a national health science popularization expert database and resource library, and a mechanism for the release and dissemination of all-media health science knowledge, focusing on the popularization of health knowledge, reasonable diet, national fitness, tobacco control and alcohol restriction, mental health, and healthy environment promotion, etc., to comprehensively control risk factors affecting health. The health literacy level of residents has increased to 25.4%, and the proportion of people who regularly participate in physical exercise has reached 37.2%.

Third, the health maintenance ability of the whole life cycle has been significantly improved. Focus on key groups, improve the health security system, and continuously improve health service capabilities. The goals of the “Two Programs” and the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” for women and children have been fully achieved, the coverage rate of children’s eye health care and vision examination services has reached 91.7%, the average annual decline in the overall myopia rate of children and adolescents is basically close to the expected target, and the number of new occupational disease cases reported nationwide has continued to decline.

Fourth, major diseases have been effectively curbed. For cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, diabetes and other major chronic diseases, as well as various key infectious diseases and endemic diseases, we will continue to strengthen comprehensive prevention and control measures to effectively curb the rising trend of incidence, and the premature mortality rate of major chronic diseases is lower than the global average.

Fifth, the atmosphere of participation by the whole people is becoming increasingly strong. Through a variety of online and offline methods, new media and traditional media channels, widely and deeply popularize health knowledge. Promote the construction of the Healthy China Action Network, and hold activities such as “Healthy China Doctors First”, “Knowledge and Practice Competition”, and “Health Experts”. In the process of prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, it is precisely because of the active participation of the public that the social foundation for epidemic prevention and control has been laid.
