In order to meet the official assessment of the WHO vaccine NRA, in accordance with the work deployment of the Party Group of the State Food and Drug Administration, since June 2022, the Drug Administration Department of the State Food and Drug Administration has held a series of meetings, combined with the requirements of the WHO assessment tool, for the evaluation sections such as supervision and inspection, production license, market supervision and pharmacovigilance, organize relevant provincial bureaus and units to carefully sort out the evaluation preparation materials, analyze and summarize the supervision work, organize evaluation drills, and comprehensively and carefully prepare the evaluation work. The main person in charge of the Drug Supervision Department of the State Food and Drug Administration attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
The meeting pointed out that under the strong leadership of the Party Group of the State Food and Drug Administration, through preparations for the NRA assessment, we continued to strictly benchmark the WHO assessment tool requirements. In recent years, my country has improved its regulatory system, improved various institutional procedures, and refined The regulatory work requirements have comprehensively improved the overall level of vaccine supervision in my country, and more effectively guaranteed the quality and safety of vaccines.
The meeting emphasized that the preparatory work for the formal evaluation has reached the most critical stage. All relevant provincial bureaus and units should improve their political positions, fully understand the importance of the NRA evaluation work to the post-marketing supervision of vaccines in my country, and keep in mind the original intention and mission of drug supervision. Do a solid job of vaccine supervision and escort the lives and health of the people.
The meeting requested that all relevant provincial bureaus and units should focus on the preparatory work, highlight key points, make up for shortcomings, and go all out to do all the preparatory work before the formal evaluation. In the formal evaluation, it is necessary to comprehensively, actively and objectively demonstrate to the WHO the achievements made in the reform and development of my country’s vaccine supervision in recent years, so as to ensure the successful completion of the NRA evaluation task.
The series of meetings were held in a combination of online and offline methods. Relevant responsible comrades from the Drug Administration Department of the State Food and Drug Administration, the NRA Evaluation Office, and the Science and Technology Cooperation Department attended the meeting at the main venue; Relevant comrades from the Bureau of disease control and prevention of the National Health Commission, the China Center for Disease Control and prevention, the verification center, evaluation center, information center, higher Research Institute of the State Food and drug administration, and the food and Drug Administration of Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunnan and other provinces attended the sub conference.
